SB101- Angiogenesis Inhibitor

SB101 is a protein fragment inhibiting angiogenesis in a cell specific manner inhibiting tumor growth at very low doses (0.25 mg/kg, in vivo in mice and chicken). The effect is hyaluronic acid independent and is a novel mechanism for direct inhibition of angiogenesis.

Entrybodies are scFv (single-chain variable region) antibodies that are able to enter live cells. Such internalisation is achieved by exploiting a linear cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) sequence. Entrybodies can enter live cells without disturbing the cellular integrity and therefore are not toxic to cells on effective concentrations.

CC0101 is a complex consisting of a protein and a low molecular weight cytotoxin that disrupts the functionality of mitochondrial membranes and leads to apoptosis. The protein is for cancer targeting and uptake using specific receptors that are characteristic to hepatocellular and pancreatic carcinomas.
